Lost Eye Glasses in Hay Stack

#4
Eye Glasses
There was a party for the Hershey Free Church Coop Home School program at a barn. It was a great party and lasted into the evening. While I was standing around the bon fire with my wife and friends David and Ami Dinnison, I got the urge to go into the barn and get a drink. As I did I saw a few adults and students rooting around in the hay pile they had been swinging over and dropping into. I felt a pull to go over and ask what was going on, but I continued to the drink table at the other end of the barn. On my way back I again felt a pull to the hay pile. As I got there one of the parents was stand at the edge and I asked him what was going on. He said that his six year old son lost his glasses. They were brand new and very small. I asked him if they asked God to help them find the glasses. He said they did about 20 minutes ago. Ok, I thought and asked God again to show me the glasses. As I moved closer to the edge to jump in I felt a hand on my chest holding me back so I stopped and waited with expectation. About a minute or two passed and I saw a glint of light and I asked God, “Is that it?” I got no response but I just jumped in. I took three steps to where I had seen the light flash and before reaching down I turned and looked at the father. While I was reaching down into the hay, my head turned up looking at the father I grabbed a hand full of hay and stood up. I opened my hand and looked down at my hand. In my hand were some hay and the little blue glasses. The father screamed, “How did you do that?!” he had been watching me the whole time.
I think that the answer to the questions is, I didn’t do it.
God did ITJ
I never even felt the glasses in my hand when I picked up the straw; I believe that an angle put them there when I reached for the straw. I never saw the glasses until I opened my hand and looked down.
Here is what I did:
1)      I did go over when I felt the urge.
2)      I did have total faith that God would show me the glasses when I asked Him to.
3)      When something held me back I did stop and wait.
4)      I waited with total expectation and I must say with excitement.
5)      I did jump in when I thought the time was right… I didn’t feel a hand holding me back this time.
I am convinced that God wanted to show the Father of the son something to increase his faith. We ended up talking about God several times over the next few years concerning FAITHJ
What limitations have we placed on God? This world system is constantly at war with you having faith in God. Shake it off! How do you shake it off you ask? Here are a few things to do:
1)      Eat every day. – Read the word every dayJ  what would you look like if you only ate crumbs every day? Eat a hearty mealJ
2)      Sing! Sing! Sing. Sing and listen to songs written by His saints.
3)      Stay in constant contact with HIM! Talk to Him about everything in your lifeJ everything all the time.
4)      Read testimonies. There are many in the bible and many written by saints over the years… read them.
5)      Talk with your fellow saints.
6)      Listen to CD’s, tapes, watch TV programs, YouTube videos of saints. There are many to choose from.
7)      Get into the game… on His side and stay thereJ
8)      Pray with your church family often, over the phone, prayer groups etc.
These are just a few. He loves you!

Lost then found.

Lost then foundJ
My son Zach (he was about 5 years old at the time.) came into the house one day crying… Dad, I lost a piece to my toy. (Some kind of action figure like G.I. Joe.) I asked him if he asked God to help him find it. He said, “No”. I said, “ask Him.” He said I don’t want to ask him you ask him, he listens to you. (???) I looked at him for a few seconds and asked if he was afraid to ask… he said yes. I said, “Ok”, I will ask. So out the door we went. I asked Zach where in the yard he was playing and he could not tell me. I said, “Zach, this is a very big yard where were you??? In the front yard, back yard, side??? Where? “I don’t know” he said. At that point I felt that I should go to the left side of the house towards the back… all the way to the neighbor’s fence. I said, “Were you playing back here?” No! Hummm… I looked at the chain link fence and stuck in the fence two feet above the ground was the two inch plastic piece… the only way that could have gotten in there was IF SOMEONE put it there. I was amazed, Zach wasn’t, he just pulled the toy out of the fence and off he went.
